Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Trovy iOS application (the "App"), operated by Signer Labs ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Trovy is a home inventory app that helps you keep track of your belongings: organize items into rooms and containers, add items by taking photos, get AI-powered name and category suggestions, scan receipts to fill in purchase details, and find your things with search.

The App is free to use for up to 20 items. An optional paid upgrade, Trovy Pro, removes the item limit (see Section 4). Introducing or changing paid features will not retroactively remove access to inventory data you have already created.

3. Accounts

  • You may use the App anonymously. An anonymous account is created automatically and is tied to your device installation.
  • You may optionally sign in with Apple to enable backup and recovery of your inventory across devices.
  • Anonymous accounts cannot be recovered if the App is deleted or the device is reset. To keep your data safe across devices, sign in with Apple.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your Apple ID.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

  • Trovy Pro unlocks unlimited items and is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy.
  • All purchases are billed by Apple through your App Store account. Payment is charged on confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions). Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use Restore Purchases in the App to regain access to Trovy Pro.
  • If you lose access to Pro, your data is never deleted — items beyond the free limit remain stored and viewable; only adding new items above the limit requires Pro.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you create in the App, including your photos, item details, rooms, and containers. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you — for example, storing your photos, rendering them as stickers, and generating AI name suggestions.

You are responsible for the content you add. Do not add content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' data, or non-public areas of the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or its backend services
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by law
  • Use automated means to access the service or place excessive load on our infrastructure

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by Signer Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Your content remains yours, as described in Section 5.

8. AI Suggestions Disclaimer

Item name and category suggestions, and purchase details read from scanned receipts (store, date, price, line items), are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided as a convenience only — always review them, and edit or replace them where needed.

Purchase details and receipt photos stored in the App are your personal records for your own reference. They do not constitute an appraisal or insurance valuation, and we do not guarantee that they will be accepted by any insurer. Whether a claim is paid, and for how much, is always determined by your insurance company under your policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur. We encourage you to sign in with Apple to protect your data with cloud backup.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signer Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account and all associated data within the App (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access to the service for violations of these terms or to protect the service and its users. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
