Curator feed
Local tastemakers and the spots they love.

Works with
What it does
Recommendation apps live or die on trust: a place is worth visiting because *someone you can see* vouched for it. This screen puts the people first. The home feed opens with a rail of local tastemakers, and every spot card is signed by a curator (@handle in bold, then their take). Tapping a card opens a detail page that stacks the evidence: the curator's summary, each dish they tried with a frame grab and a one-line verdict, and a link back to the original video — next to the practical bits (open now, today's hours, address, Navigate, Save) and a small map whose pin is the curator's avatar.
Extracted from a shipped iOS food-discovery app (dark glass skin, coral accent), with networking, auth, paywall gating and persistence stripped out. Data comes in as plain structs; every side effect leaves through SWCuratorFeedActions closures.
What you get:
- Feed (
SWCuratorFeedView) — inline-large navigation title that collapses on scroll, the current city as a plain trailing toolbar item, "Local tastemakers" rail (58pt avatars with initials fallback, view-aligned paging), "Good spots" two-column waterfall with deterministic staggered cover heights, saved-bookmark badge, first-load skeleton, empty state, pull to refresh and a load-more sentinel. - Spot detail (
SWCuratorSpotDetailView) — 250pt cover hero with category / saved pills and the name, info card with pulsing open/closed dot, hours, rating, area, address, price, coral Navigate (Apple Maps by default) and glass Save, horizontal photo row that collapses missing photos, non-interactive mini map with the curator-avatar pin, and recommendation cards. - Recommendation card (
SWCuratorRecommendationCard) — avatar, name, green "Local" pill,@handle · Nd ago, report menu, summary, inset dish list (80pt frame grab, rating, name, note), "Watch on …" pill and an animated like button. - Ambient background — graphite base, center-weighted dot grid, a three-color mesh glow that drifts into place over 3 s and a slowly breathing coral light beam.
